Dragon Age: Origins is a role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It is the first game in the Dragon Age franchise, and was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in November 2009, and for Mac OS X in December 2009. The game features a variety of downloadable content packs that were released from November 2009 to September 2010 on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and BioWare's website. The DLC packs are both story-based and content-based, and added in elements that were cut from the base game, such as Shale, the Golem companion.[1] Although BioWare announced in October 2009 that they intended to support the game with downloadable content for at least 2 years,[2] the final DLC for Origins, Witch Hunt, was released on September 7, 2010.[3]Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition is the complete bundle consisting of Dragon Age: Origins, its expansion Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening and the DLC packs listed in this article in a single release. It was made available for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 26, 2010.

Various in-game items for Origins were given away for promotional purposes as pre-order bonuses, platform exclusives and as rewards from special events. Prior to December 7, 2012, they were only available through limited promotional opportunities. From December 7, 2012 onwards, with the exception of the Blood Dragon armor as well as the Collector's Edition exclusive items, players may unlock all promotional and exclusive items in Origins and its expansion pack for free.[4]

Anyone who played Dragon Age : Origins would agree with me that the game is pretty addictive. BioWare created a masterpiece and I don't say this often (not do I buy a lot of games), it is well worth the money. Anyway DAO was supported by many downloadable content (DLC) packs that included bonus items, additional missions, playable characters and so on. Most of the DLC were free for those who purchased the game. By releasing so many DLC packs for the legitimate game, BioWare definitely wanted to discourage pirates. However, pirates were one step ahead and every single bonus content pack got leaked online soon after they were released. And this trend is still not over – latest DAO additional content pack, ‘Return To Ostagar' too has appeared online.

What's even more interesting about this leak is that Return to Ostagar (RtO) has not even been officially released. As far as I know, the leak originated from a non scene source, namely on a regular gaming discussion forum. A member posted download links to two archive files which supposedly contained the DLC. One file was hosted on a one click hosting site (maybe modified aka pre cracked) and the other link directly pointed to a file on BioWare's servers. Later there was a scene release from group ARM but this was a repack of the P2P source, as usual. I have not downloaded nor played it myself but as per comments on that particular gaming forum, leaked version works. You apparently need Dragon Age Origins v1.02 installed in order to play.

The official description of this add-on (as stated on Bioware's DAO page) is quoted below:

More information about RtO add-on may be found here. If you have the legit version of Dragon Age Origins, DLC packs can be purchased/redeemed from within the game itself. And do not confuse this with the upcoming Dragon Age : Awakening expansion.
